Cobblestone Children's Museum receives funding from Mary Washington Healthcare

Cobblestone Children's Museum received funding for the "Farm to Table" traveling exhibit from Mary Washington Healthcare! We would like to thank them for their generous support.

Cobblestone Children's Museum was recently awarded a $5,000 JumpStart! grant from the Economic Development Authority of Fredericksburg, VA

Cobblestone Children's Museum received this grant for the purchase of an enclosed travel trailer for our "Museum on the Go" program!

Cobblestone Children's Museum will receive a grant in the Spring of 2012 in the amount of $3,500 from the Fredericksburg Area Service League (FASL) to create the “Ready, Set, Roll” traveling exhibit.

This exhibit will focus on velocity, gravity, acceleration and friction in the ups and downs, ins and outs, and loops and chutes of playful experimentation with golf balls! CCM also was chosen as a placement for FASL for the 2011-2012 year.  The members of FASL will volunteer to assist CCM at local, children’s events throughout the year.   We would like to thank the Fredericksburg Area Service League for their generous support! 

 

Cobblestone Children's Museum Receives $2,500 Grant for Business Plan Development

Cobblestone was awarded a grant of $2,500 from the Duff McDuff Green, Jr. Fund to assist with the development of a comprehensive strategic plan for the museum. The Duff McDuff Green, Jr. Fund is administered by the Community Foundation of the Rappahannock River Region. This grant brings us a step closer to making the museum a reality for the region’s children. We would like to thank the Duff McDuff Green, Jr. Fund for generously supporting this project!

Cobblestone Children's Museum Partners with UMW Business Class

Cobblestone partnered with the UMW Business School under Dr. Alan Heffner during the Fall 2010 semester. In Dr. Heffner's Strategic Management class, groups of students evaluated the museum's progress and prepared strategic plans for the museum. The information obtained from the class has been extremely helpful to the museum in developing future plans and strategies. We would like to thank UMW and Dr. Heffner for their support and assistance with this project!
